The Renzi Family Legacy

A Legacy of Service Since 1776

Rick Renzi’s commitment to this nation is deep-rooted in the founding of America. He is the 5th great-grandson of Captain John Felch, a Revolutionary War patriot who fought for our independence in the Battle of White Plains, New York, in October 1776.

Captain Felch served with honor directly alongside General George Washington. His defining moment came on the slopes of Chatterton’s Hill, where he was positioned to defend the vital right flank of General Washington’s force.

As British forces stormed the hill in a fierce assault against the American line, Captain Felch stood his ground. In the heat of this battle for liberty, he was mortally wounded by the advancing British force. He gave his life so that our nation could be born.

This legacy of sacrifice and unwavering defense of freedom is the foundation of the Renzi family name.
